Historically, Niigata started out designing in-house diesel engines. Niigata machinery finds applications in the marine industry on fishing boats, commercial vessels, tugs and off-shore operations which require reliable and durable technology which performs well and with low maintenance costs. 
Niigata values feedback from our customers which has helped Niigata produce a range of diesel marine engines. For example, Niigata engines set at a slightly lower engine combustion ratio than other comparable engines. This reduces a much longer life cycle of its marine diesel engines.
